                      SINGLE SAVED AND HAVING SEX!

 I know a lot of people find themselves in this cycle, l am saved, love God, have a passion to serve God, might even be in ministry but some how when it comes to sex the cycle just doesn't seem to end. You maybe in a
relationship or single but the area of sexual purity is an area were most people in the church struggle with. Week in week out we come to church enjoy the service and even say how powerful the service was but come mid week we back in the cycle of having sex with your boyfriend/girlfriend or even someone who is neither just seeing each other. ever wonder what does it mean of the Word BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND? in Yoruba translation is called (ORE ABAMI DESE) meaning: a friend who lours you into sinning.

Everyday you're tormented in your heart because you know that this is not the right way to live and you pray that the situation would change because you know that (Romans 6:1, 2 AMP) says: What shall we say [to all this]? Are we to remain in sin in order that God’s grace (favor and mercy) may multiply and overflow? Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer? You know that this is wrong but you just don’t know how to stop. Today if this is you and you want this cycle to stop this is going to take more than just you praying that you stop.  

You will not have victory in this area as long as you keep to your old ways of trying to defeat this Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results 

1)   Paul says Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. (1 Corinthians 6:18 KJV). For this cycle to end in your life you have got to run away with your life. If you know that when you come around a certain person things will lead from one thing to another why would you go and meet that person alone, it’s like walking right into the lion’s mouth.

 2)    Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. (Proverbs 4:23 NLT). Guarding your heart means setting boundaries for what you keep in your heart. If you spend time watching TV shows or listening to music that encourage sex before marriage and that all you feel your mind then you wonder why you cant stop thinking about that person you were sleeping with and why you cant stop that why. What is in your heart, lets continually do a heart check to see what is in our hearts and our minds because for as he thinks in his Heart, so is He. (Proverbs 23:7 NKJV) Whatever you keep mediating on in your heart will determine the actions you will take. 


3)    And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.  (Romans 12:2 KJV). If you are going to have victory over sexual immorality you will have to renew your mind and the way you do that is by the word of God spend time meditating on the word of God. Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path

of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. (Psalms 1:1-3 KJV) This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8 KJV) 

4)     Set physical boundaries not just for your heart,

these are things like -not spending hours on the phone late at night talking to your boyfriend /girlfriend -not spending time alone with your boyfriend/girlfriend, have group dates -watching porn or TV programmes that encourage sexual activity or sex before marriage -listening to music (worldly songs) that draws your emotional feelings toward sex.   What you watch always becomes you.,  

5)    Be accountable to a married couple with Godly wisdom about your relationship so they can advice and pray with you -if you are a single person find someone with Godly wisdom to be accountable to, to pray with you and encourage you on the journey to sexual integrity All this is not to try and dampen your relationship but it is all to set boundaries to protect each other in the body of Christ we need to walk in victory in the area of sexual immorality and if we are going to have the victory it will take our active involvement and not just prayer asking God to help you stop.

If this message cut your Heart, and you have decided and willing to make a change in your Life, Humbly go down on your Knees and say This Prayer: Lord Jesus have mercy on my Ignorance all this while, i can't Help myself, i need you in my Everyday life, i come to you today as my Lord and Saviour Give me the power to live Above sin as from today. Amen.
