JOB SERIES- PART 2

GRACELESS COUNSEL FOR JOB TO CURSE GOD AND DIE
Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die .Job 2: 9
Despite all these qualities of Job, it is quite disappointing that the spiritual gap between Job and his wife is so wide. Job’s wife’s naive, nagging, and non chalant attitude towards God is obvious. Job was exceedingly afflicted, and apparently dying through sore disease; yet his soul was filled with gratitude to God. His wife, destitute of the salvation which her husband possessed, gave him this ironical reproof. Bless God, and die-What! Bless him for his goodness, while he is destroying all that thou hast! Bless him for his support, while he is casting thee down and destroying thee! Bless on, and die.

It is Satan’s policy, to send his temptations by the hands of those that are dear to us. We must therefore carefully watch, that we be not drawn to any evil, by them whom we love and value the most. Die-I see thou art set upon blessing of God, thou blessed God for giving, and thou blessed God for taking away, and thou art still blessing God for thy loathsome diseases, and he rewards thee accordingly, giving thee more and more of that kind of mercy for which thou blesses him.  Go on therefore in thy generous course, and bless God, and die as a fool die.

She seems to flow in the direction of the wind and not against the wind, and all along the tempestuous wind seriously weakened her faith. Many women behave like Job’s wife whenever challenges of life comes the way of their husbands, they weakens and wearies him with their graceless counsel and ungodly thoughts.
But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips. Job 2: 10

Job was a man, not in the masculine form, but that he had control over his emotions. He was man enough to turn down his wife’s ungodly counsel. For he said, “Thou speakest like an infidel; like one who has no knowledge of God”
Job said to his wife, Shall we murmur when He afflicts us for a day, who has given us health for so many years? Shall we blaspheme his name for momentary privations, who has given us such a long succession or enjoyments? His blessings are his own: He never gave them to us; they were only lent. We have had the long, the free, and the unmerited use of them; and shall we be offended at the Owner, when he comes to reclaim his own property? This would be foolish, ungrateful, and wicked. So may every one reason who is suffering from adversity. Job should be commended for resisting, rejecting, refusing, and renouncing the evil advice of him cursing God.

Can you resist the ungodly advice of your wife? Your wife is like a semi-god in your house, anything she says (whether godly or ungodly) stands. Please note that I am not encouraging men to ignore their wife’s godly counsel, and neither am I saying that women don’t have anything meaningful to contribute to the life and ministry of their husbands. In fact, most successful Christian leaders in history have had great influence from their wives or mothers.

Sussana Wesley was the chief architect in building the ministry of John and Charles Wesley upon her knees in her prayer closet, Catherine Booth supported the ministry of William booth by mothering thousands of those orphans of Salvation army, Elizabeth Elliot went to the Aucas of Eastern Ecuador, several weeks after her husband, Jim Elliot was murdered in cold blood by the same tribe, and she converted thousands of them to Christianity, Fanny Crosby, that famous blind hymn writer, composed over 9000 hymns in her lifetime. Polly Wigglesworth, wife of Smith Wigglesworth, upheld her husband, lure him back to the faith whenever he backslide.

Mary Slessor spent over forty years in Calabar, Southern Nigeria, and she miraculously ended the killing of twins, Daisy Osborn, wife of T. L. Osborn was the catalyst behind over 30,000 local pastors trained and developed into missionaries in Oklahoma. The point I’m making is that devil easily come through a man’s wife to tempt him like he did with Adam. Satan penetrated Eve easily to tempt Adam, and Adam wasn’t wise enough to reject his wife proposal to eat the forbidden fruit. Babalola’s wife was a thorn in his flesh, and likewise John Wesley.

Despite the favour Lot’s family had, having Angels to sleep in their house, which is a rare favour from God. Lot’s wife lackadaisical attitude still made them to linger in Sodom despite the way the Angels hurried them throughout the night. The Angels forcefully compelled them out of Sodom. Though, she came out physically but not spiritually, for she looked back behind Lot and she became a pillar of Salt.

My prayer for the single brothers is that God will give you a wife that will build up your ministry, and not the one that will pull it down. And to the sisters, I pray the Lord will make you a home builder, and the devil will not pull down your husband’s ministry through you in Jesus name.AMEN

GOD BLESS YOU

Why did GOD Kill NABAL?

I came across a Story in the Bible in 1Samuel 25. This story cut my attention and leave me wondering, asking myself a question: WHY DID GOD KILLED NABAL?   I decided to take my time to dig deep into this Amazing Story and it is so Awesome what the HolySpirit reveals to me of this story. It is my Prayer that your life will be Transformed as you read this didactic Discoveries about NABAL, ABIGAIL & DAVID. Amen. Two of the Psalms, the fourteenth and fifty-third, begin with the statement, ``The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.'' When we read these words today, we might picture an atheist-someone who has come to believe, perhaps for philosophical or scientific reasons, in the nonexistence of a Supreme Being. However, we have no evidence that there were any atheists living in the time of David, to whom this psalm is attributed. In those days many people believed in a plethora of deities, but few, as far as we know, imagined that there were none at al...

DEAR MEN IN MARRIAGE

Dear Men is Marriage, Never allow your wife to have a house full of choirs carting and  heart bankrupt of the Word of God carting.  Else, you will experience canal workings in her pattern of communication. Later, her in-take to voices.  Disrespect does not happen over night, it is a process of neglecting the Word of God. We remain perfect as we continually reflecting the word of God. Absenteeism of it is a very terrible risk.  Don't cumbared the same with unnecessary things that matters  not else, like Martha, it will be means for excuses and venting frustrations on innocent kind. Titus 2: 5 says that they must be 👇 Be sensible, chaste, restrained (selfcontrol) have concern for the household, be kind, be subordinate to their husbands: so that the Word of God may be not blasphemed. You must help that destiny 👆 to be fulfilled positively else you are building another doctrine.  Aiyenuro Dele Kelvin Author TheCrossBlog
